The current issue of Rider Magazine has released its 2024 Rider "Motorcycle of the Year," a top ten list of their picks. The article kicks off with a shout out to vintage 1990s and a flash of the cover featuring Kawasaki Concours, a bike that these days needs no introduction. As the list tips off, leading the way is the Can-Am Origin and Pulse as we lead down to place 7. We find the all-new Royal Enfield Himalayan, which is a welcome sight.
When Royal Enfield introduced the Himalayan adventure bike in 2016, it was a rugged but underpowered and low-tech option. This year, it received a significant upgrade with a new liquid-cooled 452cc Single engine, boosting power from 24 to 39.5 horsepower and torque from 24 to 29.5 lb-ft. Along with a redesigned chassis and modernized features and styling, the Himalayan feels more refined. We tested its enhanced capabilities in the Himalayas and came away impressed. So let us take a look at Rider Magazine top 10 motorcycles
